Hop on your ATV and ride around on the many trails Keweenaw County and the Lac La Belle area has to offer. There's no need to trailer once you arrive at the Wilderness Resort. Ride straight from your rental or campsite to all trails. There are many miles of trails available with many places to see like the Missile Launch, High Rock Bay, Key Stone Bay, and Fish Cove to name a few. Trails are maintained by the Keweenaw ATV Club.

A perfect way to spend time on the lake fishing and sightseeing is to hook up with a charter fishing company.

A great winter recreation in Lac La Belle is cross country skiing. Ski right from the Wilderness Resort to Mount Bohemia's groomed trails. Additional groomed trail systems in the area are located in Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor.

Visit a historic park in the Keweenaw to find more about heritage sites and copper mining in the Keweenaw. Some parks in Lac La Belle include, Haven Falls Park and Brunette Park. Haven Falls Park is located on Gay Lac La Belle Road one (1) mile from the Wilderness Resort and features a pavilion, privies, picnic tables, and grills for outdoor cooking. Brunette Park is thirteen (13) miles away and is also located on Gay Lac La Belle Road right on Lake Superior. It features picnic tables, privies, and grills for outdoor cooking.

Hit the slopes on Mount Bohemia and ski on some of the best powder in the Upper Peninsula. During the offseason fall color chairlift rides provide amazing scenic views.

Come snowmobiling and ride through some of the most scenic areas of the Upper Peninsula. Lac La Belle has some of the best snowmobile trails in the Keweenaw with three (3) groomers running daily.

Plentiful sweet swimming spots can be found in the Keweenaw.  A go-to spot for swimming is the Bete Gris beach which is open to the public and located four (4) miles from the Wilderness Resort. It features a change room, privy, picnic tables, and grills for cooking. Another spot for swimming is the secluded sandy beach located at the beautiful Bete Gris South Preserve.

Check out Haven Falls located in Haven Falls Park on the Gay Lac La Belle Road this is just one (1) mile from the Wilderness Resort, and also Montreal Falls which is off of Smith Fisheries Road in Lac La Belle.
