Just head North to the pristine wilderness of Keweenaw County to the Wilderness Resort nestled in beautiful Lac La Belle. Once you're here you can enjoy our many activities that Keweenaw County and Lac La Belle offer, which are sure to please just about anyone and put a smile on your face. We are located in the heart of Lac La Belle where there is some of the best down hill skiing in the Upper Peninsula. The snowmobile trails in the Keweenaw are the best with three groomers running daily. Take a trip up on our gorgeous winding roads that have beautiful scenery and breathtaking views of the Upper Peninsula including fall colors, Brockway Mountain Drive, and the Mount Bohemia ski hill.
This Is Us
Hi! This is us! We are Jamie Olson, Darron Olson, Rick Olson, and Michele Olson. Darron and Rick are brothers and the four of us love living in the Keweenaw Peninsula and have a passion for creating a relaxing stay in the wilderness for you. We're excited to start wonderful memories for you and your family here in the North End of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Hi! We're Rick and Michele Olson. We have been happily married for thirty-two years. We have two children, Laura Olson and Adam Olson, and one fur baby, a thirteen-year-old yorkshire terrier named Digger. We love living in Keweenaw County, and in our free time we love to go four-wheeling and spend time with our family.
I, Rick like to go hunting, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling. I also like riding on the local trails on my side-by-side. I'm currently enjoying my retirement and running my business, and I also serve as the fire chief for the Lac La Belle fire department, and I also volunteer as a medical first responder.
I, Michele like to read and I love Twizzlers and Mountain Dew. I have a seventeen year background in the lodging industry and prior to that I was a bookkeeper for many years.
Hi! We're Darron and Jamie Olson and we have been happily married for eight years. Our family includes Chaz, Saylor, Leah, granddaughter Kai, Katelyn, grandson Gavin, and Fiona. Fiona will be going into first grade this year and when you ask her if she's excited for school to start, she says no, because she'd rather sleep-in, watch cartoons, and play with her toys. When we are not working you can find us spending time at the beach, having bonfires, and exploring the area on the motorcycle or side-by-side.
I, Darron have a total of sixteen years of military service; seven years active duty Air Force, nine years Navy Reserves, and I was deployed in the Persian Gulf War and Iraq War. I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, and riding on my motorcycle, side-by-side, and snowmobile.
I, Jamie work as a RN in the emergency department for a local hospital and I'm also a paramedic for Mercy EMS. I have a total of fifteen years experience in the medical field. My favorite things are going to the beach to pick rocks and sea glass, and spending time with my family.
